24 star Keifer Sutherland is king of drama television
T.V. Guide announced that Keifer Sutherland is the highest paid actor in the world of drama television. The long time movie star brings in a total of 13 million per season for his work on the hit television show “24″
The Fox Network hit show is also the highest addictive television show in the United States knocking CSI to sixth place in the world of crime drama television. Those are great numbers for a star that got his start in movies.
Then the news that “24” fans may not be seeing Keifer Sutherland and the cast of “24” any longer. 2009 may be the end of “24” due to the lack of storyline. The rumor is that they just don’t have anything else for Jack B. to do.
That’s not a reason to take a hit show off the air. Keifer Sutherland’s salary should show you how much fans love the show. When you can pay a star that much, then you know that you have commercial backing.
“24” has had as many television series writers as the name of the show. When the storyline is dying you don’t kill of the characters, you just find more series writers for the show. I’m sure that Donald Sutherland and Keifer Sutherland could brainstorm and think of a few storylines for the show.
